Magic, NBA 2013-14 Schedule Breakdown

The Orlando Magic and the Indiana Pacers will tip-off the 2013-14 NBA season on Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. ET  in Indiana. The Magic vs. Pacers game will serve as one of three games of opening night of the 2013-14 NBA season. The other two matches include the Heat vs. Bulls and the Clippers vs. Lakers.

The Magic will start its 25th “Silver Season” season on the road. They will face the Indiana Pacers and Minnesota Timberwolves before returning to the Amway for the season home opener against the New Orleans Pelicans on Nov. 1 at 8 p.m. ET.

The Magic will be home for most of the month of November. They will host 10 games and have four road games in Atlanta (two games), Miami and Boston. This will give the young roster an opportunity to create chemistry before heading out on long road trips.

The Magic will start off the month of December with six game road trip. They will face Philadelphia, Washington, New York, Houston, Memphis and Charlotte from Dec. 2- Dec. 11. The Magic will end the month of December with six straight home games including a game on New Year’s Eve against the Golden State Warriors.

The Magic will have 10 road games and six home games in January. The Magic will knock out more than half of the road games in the first half of the month. They will head to the West Coast and play the L.A.Clippers (Jan. 6), Portland Trail Blazers (Jan. 8), Sacramento Kings (Jan. 10), Denver Nuggets (Jan. 11) and lastly Dallas Mavericks (Jan. 13). The Magic will host the Boston Celtics on Jan. 15 and the L.A. Lakers on Jan. 24.

February will be a slow month for the Magic as they only have 12 games. One of the games that stands out for the month of February is the Oklahoma City Thunder game, which will be played on Feb. 7 at the Amway Center at 7:00 p.m. In March, Dwight Howard and the Houston Rockets will come into town.

The Magic will close out the season against the Indiana Pacers on April 16 at 8:00 p.m. ET.

All Magic games will be televised in high definition on FOX Sports Florida. Magic fans can buy season tickets as low as $40 or less. Single game tickets will go on sale in October.
