Magic Looking To Protect Home Court Against Durant

Magic Thunder Vucevic Nelson DurantThe Orlando Magic have protected home court very well lately but they will be tested as they host Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight at the Amway Center at 7 p.m. ET.

In mid-December, the Oklahoma City Thunder handed the Magic a 101-98 loss at Chesapeake Energy Arena. Oklahoma City led by as many as 16 points in the second half, but the Magic fought hard to get back in it. They ended up going on a 10-0 run and had a chance to tie the game at end but Glen Davis’ three-pointer fell short and so did the Magic. Tonight the Magic will have to the chance not only to protect their home court but also even up the series.

The Magic will have their hands full with Durant. The 6-foot-9 forward is a terrific scorer, is always on the move and works the perimeter. The Magic need to stay down on pump fakes and contest shots without fouling to help slow down Durant and the Thunder.

During the Thunder’s shoot around, Durant said that they have to be focused for tonight’s game because despite their record the Magic are a good talented team.

Durant, Arron Afflalo, Victor Oladipo and Jacque Vuaghn talk about tonight’s match-up:
