Saturday night the Orlando Magic blew a 16-point lead against the Miami Heat.
The Magic played well and had a chance to knock off the defending champs but they couldn’t close out the game, a too familiar feeling.
“We have to play better down the stretch and execute if we want to win games like this,” Magic head coach Jacque Vaughn said.
Orlando (4-8) has lost three of their six games in the month of November by three points or less. This is a season of growing but if the Magic want to advance and become a playoff team they will need to execute down the stretch of tight games.
But this is a season of patience and growing as a young team.
“Just want to win but I know this is a process and I understand that, I’m just competitive,” rookie guard Victor Oladipo said earlier this week.
The return of Glen Davis was a bright spot for the Magic in the loss. Davis scored 20 points and grabbed five rebounds in 26 minutes.
Orlando had been playing well at home before dropping the last two against Miami and Dallas, they are looking to get back on track tonight as they host the Phoenix Suns (6-6)
Tip off set for 6pm.
