Luke Scott Could Be Back With The Rays

ST. PETERSBURG - As the Rays continue the search for a DH that looks like it may bring them back to Luke Scott , they added some depth, and interesting storylines, Tuesday by signing several veterans to minor-league contracts with spring training invites.

The Rays' DH options were reduced when Delmon Young agreed to a one-year deal with the Phillies for $750,000 with incentives that reportedly could push the total value to around $3.25 million.

Scott spent 2012 with the Rays, and both sides have continued to express mutual interest in a reunion. Other free-agent options include Travis Hafner, Aubrey Huff, Dan Johnson, Carlos Lee, Juan Rivera and Jim Thome. Trade options include Jason Kubel and Mike Carp.
