Lightning’s Top Pick Jonathan Drouin House Hunting In Tampa
According to a source in Halifax, the Tampa Bay Lightning’s top pick in 2013, Jonathan Drouin will be doing some house hunting in Tampa.
Does this mean that Steve Yzerman and the organization have given Drouin a verbal commitment that he will play for the club in the 2014-15 season? Drouin could be the spark that Bolts need in the wake of an early playoff exit.
After an impressive 2012-13 season with the Halifax Moosehead’s, 41-goals, 64-assists, Drouin was named CHL MVP and captured the Memorial Cup. The Lightning selected Drouin in the 1st round (3rd overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. In the 2013-14 season in Halifax, Drouin finished three-points ahead of his MVP season and had 41-points in 16-playoff games.
