Lightning's Ryan Malone Arrested
Tampa Bay Lightning F Ryan Malone was arrested early Saturday morning for DUI and possession of cocaine. Malone hasn't had a good season and has been a healthy scratch for much of the second half of the season. Malone was arrested at 5:40 Saturday morning
GM Steve Yzerman released a statement:
"We are aware of the situation concerning Ryan Malone this morning," general manager Steve Yzerman said in a statement. "Ryan will not travel with the team to Washington today, but beyond that we cannot comment further at this time."

According to the report from Tampa Police, Malone turned left from the center lane at S. Armenia at W. Platt St. He then struck a curb on S. Howard Ave. The arresting officer conducted a routine traffic stop and noted that Malone's breath smelled of alcohol. Malone then refused to participate in a sobriety test and was then arrested for DUI.
While searching Malone, police found 1.3 grams of cocaine in his back pocket and a BAC of .112 and .116 respectively.
