It didn’t take Victor Hedman, who has been out of the lineup since December 5th, to get his name on the score sheet but its been slightly longer for Cote who earned his first career NHL point in his first NHL game since appearing in 8 games with the Montreal Canadiens during the 2005-2006 season.
The Lightning went on a power play at the 18:43 mark of the period and at the 19:06 mark Martin St. Louis sent a laser past Carter Hutton for his 14th goal of the season with assists by Sami Salo (6) and Alex Killorn (11).

Lightning outshot the Predators 11-8 in the period.
Entering tonight’s contest the Lightning Penalty Kill unit had killed 83.76% (19 goals in 117 attempts). Their PK unit entered the ice at the 7:53 mark of the period when Radko Gudas was sent off for 2-minutes for elbowing and once again held the opposition off the scoreboard.
The Predators went back on the power play at the 14:48 mark when Nate Thompson was sent off 2-minutes for interference. The Lightning PK unit held the Predators off the board for the second time in the period.
The Lightning Power Play unit got their first opportunity at the 18:43 mark and although the unit has struggled scoring on just 15.38% (18 goals in 118 opportunities) Martin St. Louis drills a laser to give the Lighting a 2-0 lead.
