Lightning Jets Preview: We Need 2-Points

TONIGHT’S MATCHUP
The Lightning return to the Tampa Bay Times Forum on Thursday to begin a stretch that includes five of their next six games on home ice…Tonight’s matchup will be the second of four meetings between the two division foes…The next two meetings will take place at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg on Mar. 24 and Apr. 16…The Lightning downed the Jets in the first meeting of the season, 8-3, on Feb. 1 in Tampa Bay…The Lightning took a 6-0 lead into the final period before the Jets replied with three goals in the final stanza…Six different Bolts recorded multi-point games, led by rookie Cory Conacher’s two goals and one assist…Five of the game’s 11 goals were scored on the power play, as the Lightning went 3-for-5 and Winnipeg went 2-for-4 while on the man-advantage…Tampa Bay has recorded at least a point in 10 straight games against the Jets/Thrashers, going 9-0-1 during that streak….The Lightning have sold out each of their first 11 home games of the season (capacity 19,204).
