Lightning Honor 2004 Cup Run
The Tampa Bay Lightning won hockey’s most coveted possession ten years ago. Ten years later the future looks just as bright as it did then with new faces taking the spotlight in Steven Stamkos, Ben Bishop and Tyler Johnson.
The Bolts honored their 2004 championship win by having members of the 2004 staff and squad on hand including Vancouver head coach John Torterella, who received a standing ovation from the crowd.
The organization kicked off the ceremony on Sunday by having a “Sunday with Stanley” where fans were able to learn Hockey 101 from owner Jeff Vinik and skate on Times Forum ice after preregistration.
Not content with that, each fan that showed up to the game received a replica version of the 2004 Stanley Cup championship ring.
