Cavaliers Kyrie Irving stole the show Sunday night helping the Eastern Conference to a 163-155 win over the West.

Irving had 31 points and 14 assists and was voted the game’s MVP, New York Knicks Carmelo Anthony made an All-Star record eight 3-pointers and scored 30 points.

“Such a great game, I had a blast and it’s an honor to win the MVP,” Irving said.

The 318 points scored is the most in NBA All-Star game history.

Kevin Durant and Blake Griffin each finished with 38 points for the West, just four shy of Wilt Chamberlain’s All-Star game record.

Irving scored 15 points in the fourth quarter as the East ended a three-game losing streak.

LeBron James finished with 22 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.

Griffin shot 19 of 23 from the field, while Durant finished with 10 rebounds and six assists.

The West didn’t score another basket following Durant’s 3-pointer with 1:59 left in the game.

“We had a game plan, and we stuck with it,” Irving said.

The East shot 61% from the field, which they needed to do if they wanted to keep up with Durant and Griffin.

Chris Paul had 11 points and 13 assists, and first-time All-Star Stephen Curry had 12 points and 11 assists for the West.

Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson led a band encouraging the All-Stars to join him in singing ”Happy Birthday” after the first quarter to Hall of Famer Bill Russell, who was celebrating his 80th.

Pharrell Williams, P. Diddy, Nelly, Busta Rhymes, Chris Tucker, Kevin Hart and Drake headlined a cast full of celebrities in attendance.

Next years All-Star weekend will be held in New York City.
