With the 14th  overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears selected Virginia Tech cornerback Kyle Fuller.

How Sports Talk Florida sees the pick…

The Low-Down…

At 5 foot 11 and 190 pounds, Fuller clocked a 4.49 40 at the NFL Scouting Combine with a 38 1/2 inch vertical.

During the early portion of his career at Virginia Tech, he was asked to play whip-linebacker/nickel corner so he may be able to offer more in run support than others at his position.

In 2013, Fuller he had two interceptions, 10 pass breakups and 24 tackles.

In 2012, he had two interceptions, five broken up passes and 52 tackles, including three tackles for a loss.

In 2011, he recorded seven pass breakups, 4 1/2 sacks, 65 tackles and 14 1/2 tackles for a loss. He also recovered a blocked punt in the end zone against Appalachian State.

In 2010, as a true freshman, he saw action in 12 games and started six.

He was a team captain his senior year and is one of four Fuller brothers to suit up for the Hokies. Brothers Corey (currently with the Detroit Lions) and Vincent went on to play in the NFL.
