FSU and Auburn for the BCS National Championship Game.

ESPN lead college fooball anayst Kirk Herbstreit will be part of the the BCS Championship game broadcast team with Brent Musberger and Holly Rowe.

As we all know by now Monday night 8 p.m. from the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. Florida State will take on Auburn in the final BCS Championship game before moving to a playoff system next season.

Talking with Herbstreit recently he think Florida State will win come Monday night but there is something about Aubrn that keeps him from being certain about a Seminole victory.

JW: So you like FSU to win?

Herbstreit: Yes, however I think this game will be closer than most people do. The thing that keeps concerning me is that Auburn has been tested all season long and are 6-0 in games decided by eight points or less, the same as the 2010 BCS champion Tigers. Meanwhile, to their credit Florida State has blownout their oposition and I gues I wounder if the Seninoles could handle things well if they were to fall and have to battle from behind in a close game with a National Championship on the line?

JW: Have you ever seen a Championship Game where the two teams have gotten here is such different ways?

Herbstreit:”I have never prepared for a championship game where you look at one team, it’s been so lopsided. There’s always a game where you just don’t show up and you kind of win ugly. Florida State has really not had that game at all.”

JW: So what is the key for both teams?

Herbstreit: If Auburn is to win then it is imperative” for them to start strong and set the tone to let Florida State know it’s going to be a 60-minute game. The last thing Auburn would want is for Florida State to get off to fast start because playing catch up to the Seminoles is not an easy task.”

“As for FSU it is Jameis Winston, if he is calm and settles in as the leader of the Seminoles then they will be fine. He is a great leader and the tone of the game goes through him. Auburn will do everything to cause him problems but if he can survive that then FSU will be the Champions.”
