Brad Keselowski won the the 22nd annual Camping World RV Sales 301 Sprint Cup race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway covered on Sunday. The win gave the driver of the red, No.2 Ford owned Roger Penske their second win of the season and vaulted Keselowski to the number three spot in the NASCAR Sprint Cup point standings, behind Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhadt, Jr.. (A complete list can be found HERE.)

For Keselowski, who until Sunday had never won in New Hampshire, you can bet that it has now become one of his favorite tracks. Saturday in the Sta-Green 200 Nationwide race, he cruised to a win in his yellow No 22 Penske Ford. So, he sweeps the race weekend at the northern most city that NASCAR visits each year in the United States.

Sunday’s win like looked like it was going to be easy, but if NASCAR fans know one thing about racing, it nothing is as ever easy as it looks. Such was the case in the final moments on the track in New Hampshire.

Keselowski was rolling toward the checkered flag with two laps remaining when Justin Allgaier spun out and brought out a caution flag. Suddenly, the No.2 car went from a 2.45 second lead to a green-white-checkered flag finish.

He was able to hold off Kyle Busch by a little over one second to get the win. (video of the final two laps  HERE.)

Meanwhile, the five drivers directly behind Keselowski were all still looking for their first win of the season, a win that would most likely put them in the Chase.

Rookie Kyle Larson finished third and Matt Kenseth was fourth. Ryan Newman was fifth, Clint Bowyer sixth and Tony Stewart was seventh.

Hamlin finished eighth, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was ninth and Earnhardt Jr. was 10th.

Sunday’s was big in another very important way as  Keselowski,  clinched a spot in the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship with his two wins. NASCAR announced after the race that he and Dale Earnhardt Jr. had officially secured Chase berths as long as they attempt to qualify for the seven remaining races in the regular season.
