Jose Reyes To Have MRI On Hamstring
One of the last things the Blue Jays wanted to worry about the week before the start of the season was shortstop Jose Reyes, particularly his legs. He was pulled from Saturday's spring training game with left hamstring discomfort and is going for an MRI today:
Reyes will have an MRI later today on his left hamstring. #BlueJays— Gregor Chisholm (@gregorMLB) March 24, 2014
Reyes still considers himself day to day but the MRI will find out exactly what's wrong in his left leg. #BlueJays— Gregor Chisholm (@gregorMLB) March 24, 2014
As a player whose game revolves around speed, any injury to the leg is a big concern, especially when he has a history of hamstring problems. Maybe the MRI will come back clean, but until it does, the Blue Jays are probably feeling a bit nervous.
