Jeter Resumes His Work The Day After Announcing His Retirement
Derek Jeter was back to work at the New York Yankees' minor league complex, a day after announcing this will be his final season.
He stayed at the complex for about 90 minutes, taking batting practice in a cage and throwing on a field.
New York opens its big league spring training camp Friday, and position players report next week, when Jeter is likely to hold a news conference to discuss his decision.
Jeter's value, work ethic and determination to win is unmatched in baseball today and even if you are a die-hard Red Sox fan, you have to feel a little bit of sadness to see Jeter go after 2014.
