Gators_Jeff_Driskel_2013After Saturday’s 31-17 win over the Tennessee Volunteers, Florida head coach Will Muschamp announced that redshirt junior Tyler Murphy will replace Jeff Driskel as the starting quarterback of the Florida Gators for the rest of the 2013 season.

It was originally thought that Driskel injured his ankle on a sack in the first quarter. He had to use crutches to get to the locker room after it was decided he couldn’t put pressure on his foot. He missed the rest of the game.

Later, Mark Long reported that Driskel suffered a broken tibia and will have surgery as soon as possible.
