Jay Z Says Drug Dealer Past Helps Him Now
Hip-hop mogul and sports business entrepreneur Jay Z said in the November issue of Vanity Fair that his past life as a drug dealer is helping so far in his current role as a player agent for the Roc Nation Sports agency he founded earlier this year.
The 43-year-old said that having dealt drugs has helped him understand budgets, a knowledge and skill that he has taken with him to positions including former minority owner of the Brooklyn Nets and current owner of the new sports agency.
