LopezGiants general manager Brian Sabean revealed yesterday that he was very close to re-signing reliever Javier Lopez and now Steve Berman of Bay Area Sports Guy reports that it’ll be a three-year, $13 million deal.

Last time Lopez re-signed with the Giants he got a two-year, $8.5 million contract, so he’s basically getting the same deal with an extra year added on.

Lopez has a 2.26 ERA in four seasons with the Giants, including a 1.83 ERA this year, and he’s held left-handed hitters to a sub-.200 batting average in five of the past six seasons.
