Jamaal Charles Ruled Out With Concussion
Kansas City Chiefs star running back Jamaal Charles was taken out of the Wildcard game against the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday after just the sixth play of the game.
Charles took the ball and ran 7 yards but hit his head on the turf while being tackled. He sat on the sideline with the trainers as they tested him for a concussion. A few minutes later, he was taken to the locker room. He is questionable for return.
Knile Davis took over for Charles as the Chiefs were able to drive down the field and score on their opening posession. Quarterback Alex Smith connected with Dwayne Bowe for a 6 yard touchdown reception.
Update: According to Jeff Darlington of NFL Network, Charles is out for the game.
