Blaine_Gabbert_2013The Jacksonville Jaguars arrived at work Monday knowing left tackle Luke Joeckel was out for the season with a fractured right ankle that will require surgery.

Later in the day, they found out quarterback Blaine Gabbert’s latest injury (right hamstring) would prevent him from starting Sunday at Denver.

The big loss is Joeckel, who faces a six-month recovery after he was rolled into from behind by St. Louis defensive tackle Kendall Langford.

“It was tough,” Joeckel said. “I’m feeling a little bit better today. … Last night, I couldn’t think about anything positive. Couldn’t sleep. Couldn’t get comfortable. You’re just thinking. It wasn’t a great night.”

Coach Gus Bradley said Gabbert’s injury is “week to week.”
