J.R. Smith To Wear Mask After Fracturing Cheekbone
Smith has a small fracture in his cheekbone and will keep playing but will wear a mask Wednesday night against the Kings, the team announced. The injury happened against the Thunder Sunday when his face collided with Kevin Durants knee.
Smith started slow this season on the year he is averaging 13 points with a true shooting percentage of 49.3, well below the league average.
As you all know the Knicks had a terrible start to the season and somehow, someway, they are two games out of a playoff spot. If Smith can stay strong and play up to his expectations with the rest of the team, we may have a playoff team who is currently 11 games below .500.
