The Tampa Bay Lightning took to the ice this morning to prepare for their home game against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Lightning center Vincent Lecavalier did not take part in the skate, as the team said he was taking a body maintenance day. Marc Andre Bergeron will return to the lineup tonight, according to head coach Guy Boucher. Lightning head coach Guy Boucher also said he would decide after warm ups if he would go with 11 forwards and 7 defenseman as opposed to 12 forwards and 6 defenseman.

Anders Lindback will get the start tonight, looking to build on Saturday’s win against Florida. This will be Lindback’s first career start against Toronto.

Toronto is coming into tonight’s game after defeating the Florida Panthers Monday night 3-0. Maple Leafs goaltender Ben Scrivens has posted back to back shutouts and has a shutout streak of 142:21 in that span. Scrivens has made 79 consecutive saves without scoring a goal.

Boucher also talked about how goals came too easy at the beginning of the season, and how a bit of a change in attitude has helped the team do good things of late.

“Goals came too easy to start the year,” Boucher said. “Everything was going in. We were playing really well defensively too. When we start to hit a wall in terms of scoring with the same number of opportunities, like tons of grade A opportunities we were missing in our top guys, it created this frustration that translated into impatience with our defensive game, and that is what we are trying to correct. Out attitude is at the right place right now, so that’s why I think we are doing a lot of good things.”
