Insider: Magic End Preseason On Positive Note

After trailing by as many as 23 points midway through the second quarter, the  Orlando Magic came back to beat the Miami Heat 104-100 at  the Amway Center. Glen Davis led the Magic with 18 points coming off the bench while Dwight Howard added 15 points and 9 rebounds in just 28 minutes of action. The Magic open the regular season Christmas night at Oklahoma City against the Thunder.

- Right after the game, The Magic waived guard Gabe Pruitt.

- Quentin Richardson started for  injured Hedo Turkoglu.

-  Stan Van Gundy said before the game that because  Glen Davis is the Magic’s backup center behind Dwight Howard that it might necessitate him playing as a reserve. The Magic are hoping to use Howard, Davis and Ryan Anderson at the center and power forward slots.
