Insider: Glen Davis Talks About His Injury, Vegan Diet
Glen ‘Big Baby’ Davis has been out for almost a month and a half after breaking his left foot. He finding new ways to keep healthy and keep busy during the season.
Davis broke his left foot during the first quarter of the Magic’s game against the Knicks on Jan. 30th.
Davis underwent surgery to insert a screw to stabilize and repair his fifth metatarsal on Feb. 1st.
The timetable for his return was projected to be 8-12 weeks. At that point there were 10 weeks left in the season. The best-case scenario was that he would come back for the last two weeks of the season.
It is unlikely that Davis will play again this season since therapy and rehabilitation takes time.
Davis dealt with a shoulder injury during the second half of December and played a few weeks before having the season ending injury.
At the time of his foot injury Davis was averaging 15.1 points and 7.2 rebounds per game and left the Magic shorthanded on defense.
In order to keep healthy and maintain a healthy weight ‘Big Baby‘ has transitioned into a vegan diet. He shared his favorite vegan meal after the Magic’s practice on Thursday.
