Insider: Bortles, Murray Talk UCF Spring Game
On Saturday, the spring season culminated for UCF football at Brighthouse Networks Stadium. Team “UCF” defeated Team “Knights” 17-7. Team UCF was the first team offense, quarterbacked by Blake Bortles facing off against the second team defense while Team Knights was manned by a combination of Rob Calabrese and Mitchell Bourne versus the defensive starters.
After the exhibition, Bortles talked about taking a leadership role with the football team, his talented offensive playmakers, and the chance that former starter Jeff Godfrey might return to the squad.
Latavius Murray dazzled throughout the spring game and shared his thoughts on the big day, what competition with the other running backs does to elevate his game, and his mentality entering his final season as a Knight.
