Incognito Wants Second Chance in Miami
Former Miami Dolphins player Richie Incognito has been everything but quiet inthe wake of his time in rehab. The most recent news surrounding this accused bully is thathis treatment worked and now he wants to get back on the field.
According to WSVN in Miami, Incognito wants to come back to South Florida and play for the Miami Dolphins. He says he'll do almost anything to get back on the field.
He told the Miami news station, "returning to the Dolphins was my number one goal from the time I got suspended.I want to return to the community in Miami and resume my playing career as soon as possible."
When asked why he went away for medical treatment he said it was needed.
"Because I was stressed. I believe in post traumatic stress syndrome, and I believe in private mental health care."
Incognito was accused of bullying his teammate Jonathan Martin which eventuallyled Martin leaving the team. There was a full investigation by the NFL that determined Incognito and two other Miami Dolphins players engaged in continuous harassment of Martin. Incognito was suspended from the team and missed the final eight games. He then became a free agent when his contract with the Dolphins expired.
Incognito says he wants to start over.
"I want a clean slate. I'm at peace with everything that happened. I'm at peace with the attorneys and myself. Go to my Twitter page. I'm back online, and I'm not mad at anybody."
Martin recently signed with the San Francisco 49ers and Incognito is only saying positive things about his former teammate.
"I was excited. He always felt welcomed up there at Stanford and with Coach Harbaugh. So I said, you know what? He's got an opportunity that he can run with. He can go play. I think it's awesome. The bottom line is, I'm for the people, by the people, and I just want to go back to work."
For his fans in Miami, Incognito has one message and that is that he ready to be back.
"Dolphins fans, Richie is well. Richie wants to come back and play. But the business has to handle the business end, and that's it."
Is he though? Just look at his Twitter account and see for yourself.
