Insider: Hornets Break Losing Streak
The New Orleans Hornets arrived in Orlando with a 11 losing streak and walked away with a 97-94 victory over the Magic.
A former Magic player Ryan Anderson presented some challenges for the Magic as he currently leads the team with 17.8 points per game. The Magic’s defensive limited Anderson to 15 points but then struggled to stop Robin Lopez and Greivis Vasquez. Lopez and Vasquez finished the game with a season highs of 29 and 27 points. Lopez credited his offensive outburst to his teammeates by saying they were giving him easy looks.
After the game Anderson said, “It is good to be back [to Orlando]. You spend so much time here that it didn’t feel like a new environment, it just felt like playing another game which was good. I am glad we got a win tonight.”
