GM Meetings Include Discussions About Tweaking Some Rules
Here’s a rather interesting discussion that Elliotte Friedman says has been broached at the GM meetings in Florida: Kicking motions.
There was also discussion on allowing more "kicked-in" or "directed-in" goals, but more work must still be done on that to clarify.

Perhaps this was born out of the second-most popular talking item at the meetings, the use of expanded video replay. Kicked-in goals are always one of the toughest calls referees have to make and they always go to video review.
It is uncertain when the announcement will be made to implement this plan but it is currently in progress.
