Glen Davis’ Christmas Wish May Come True
Orlando Magic’s Glen Davis only wants one thing for Christmas, a healthy team.
Since arriving in Orlando last year, head coach Jacque Vaughn has not had a chance to have a full healthy team on the court. As of right now, Vaughn is just one player away from having his entire roster available to play.
Tobias Harris is close to coming back from a left high ankle sprain. He could return as early as Friday when the Magic host the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Magic struggled, particularly in rebounding when Nikola Vucevic was out with an ankle sprain. In the four games that he was out, the Magic were out rebounded 213-143. That is a difference of 70 rebounds in just four games. Vucevic returned to the lineup against the Bobcats Wednesday night. The Magic beat the Bobcats 92-83 and out rebounded them 52-41. After this injury, it is clear that Vucevic is a key player on the roster.
The Magic’s most successful line up this season consists of Arron Afflalo, Jameer Nelson, Victor Oladipo, Nikola Vucevic and Glen Davis. The Magic are 3-0 when these players are in the starting lineup and if they remain healthy this team has a chance of winning a good portion of the December games.
