Gators rocking the college hoops polls

If it is Monday then it must be time to take a look at the college basketball polls and the University of Florida is firmly in the number three spot in the Associated Press poll and in the fourth spot in the USA Today Coaches rankings.

Syracuse tops both polls with Arizona in the number two spot in AP poll. ?Meanwhile, in the USA Today coaches poll it is the Orangemen followed by Wichita State then Arizona and the Florida. Anywhere in the top five right now is fine with the Gators and their fans.

Florida is 19-2 ?overall and in first place in the Southeastern Conference with a perfect 8-0 record. They have a big game at home at the O'Dome against a talented Missouri team that sports a 16-5 record but is 4-4 in the SEC. The game can be seen at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN and then Saturday the Crimson Tide of Alabama visits the 'Dome for a 12:30 p.m. ET tip time again on ESPN.

For those thinking NCAA Tournament the latest ESPN "Bracket Guru," Joe Lunardi as of?January 30, 2014 has Florida as a number two seed in the South Region and opening the tournament in Orlando against the number 15 seed University of California Irvine.
