Gators Open the Season Ranked 10th Nationally

The first USA Today preseason coaches’ poll was released on Thursday afternoon.

The No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide received 58 of 62 first-place votes. Ohio State was second and received three. No. 3 Oregon, No, 4 Stanford and No. 5 Georgia filled out the top five.

No. 6 Texas A&M received the other first-place vote. Five of the top 10 teams are from the Southeastern Conference with South Carolina at No. 7 and Florida at No. 10.

No. 8 Clemson (ACC) and No. 9 Louisville (AAC) round out the top 10.
