FSU’s Christian Jones Accepts Invite to Senior Bowl
The Seminoles are preparing for the BCS National Championship Game and in the midst of their celebrations and hard work, a special Florida State senior is receiving an honor of his own. Linebacker Christian Jones has accepted his invitation to play in the 2014 Senior Bowl.
The star senior had 49 tackles this season with one sack as he learned a whole new style of defense under first-year defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt, who took the job after coaching at Alabama.
Jones has helped the Seminoles as one of their top overall athletes as they quickly became one of the best defensive units in the nation.
It was his sophomore season in 2011 that Jones made his start and he has since progressed into an explosive part of the team. His last game with the Seminoles will be an opportunity to shine where he will be faced with an extremely strong offensive assault.
Jones will enter the 2014 NFL Draft along with other prominent seniors such as Lamarcus Joyner, Cameron Erving, Telvin Smith, and Timmy Jernigan.
