FSU Spring Practice Update (3/24)
Florida State's football team took the field this afternoon for their fourth day of spring practice. This was the second time that the team worked out in full pads. Here are a few notes:
-Tre Jackson, Karlos Williams, andDerrick Mitchellwere all in attendance, but none of them participated.Ruben Cartertook the first team reps at right guard in place of Jackson andMario Pendertook the first team reps at running back with Williams out.
-Jameis Winstonwas back at practice after missing Saturday's due to the baseball team's trip to Clemson. That will be the only practice he misses during the spring.
-Ryan Hoefeldtook the second team reps at center behind Austin Barron.
-During punting drillsRoberto Aguayoworked in withCason Beattyand walk-onJonathan Hernandez.
- The team spent time during the open portion going one-on-one inboarddrills. The wide-receivers matched up against defensive-backs,running backs, competed against linebackers, and defensive lineman competed against offensive lineman. The strongest match-up I saw was when Eddie Goldman went up against Cam Erving. They are both very physical lineman and it showed. AlsoJalen Ramseywon a strong battle againstScooter HagginsandMario Edwards Jr.got the best ofBobby Hartduring their match-up.
