Former UGA Running Back Isaiah Crowell: "I'm a Changed Person"
The running back position is the?one with the shortest shelf life, which is why NFL teams are always on the lookout for talent. For former University of Georgia and Alabama State running back Isaiah Crowell, talent has never been the issue. In fact, he may be the best running back in this year's NFL Draft. But his off the field issues?may force a number of teams to pass.
In July of 2012, after winning SEC Freshman of the Year, Crowell was arrested on multiple felony weapons charges after police found a 9-mm Luger handgun in his vehicle. Charges were later dropped. Crowell had previously been suspended for a game for reportedly failing a drug test. He was released by the team shortly after and transferred to Alabama State, where he finished his college career with 1,121 yards on 170 carries and 15 touchdowns this past season.
"I just really want [people] to know that I'm a changed person, that I'm not the same childish person that I was when I was at Georgia. I've changed a lot. It's not all about me. I have a son now and I have to provide for my family."
