Florida’s Rosario Unlikely To Play vs. FSU
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — No. 11 Florida likely will be short-handed against rival Florida State on Thursday.
Coach Billy Donovan says guard Mike Rosario and forward Cody Larson are doubtful to play against the Seminoles.
Rosario missed practice Tuesday because of a strained back, and Larson is slowly working his way back from strep throat. Donovan stopped short of ruling them out Tuesday, but says it would be difficult to expect much productivity from either one because they have missed so much practice time.
Rosario and Larson sat out Monday’s victory against Mississippi Valley State. Rosario is a junior averaging 9.4 points and 2.3 rebounds. Larson, a redshirt freshman, has played sparingly and is averaging 1.3 points.
