Florida State: Rivalry Thrives Between Classes

Jameis_Winston_FSU_SeminolesNEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (AP) A Heisman-winning redshirt freshman has been the story of the BCS championship, but Florida State is dependent on major contributions from its seniors and juniors.

Coach Jimbo Fisher's first two recruiting classes laid the foundation for the rebirth of the program. Fisher calls the 2013 roster one of the most unselfish teams he's ever been part of, but there's still room for a friendly rivalry among members of the two classes.

Senior linebacker Telvin Smith doesn't mince words, "The junior class wants to say what they did don't get me wrong, they brought a lot to this program. But everybody knows when the class of 2010 stepped on campus, Florida State was changed forever."

The Seminoles will face Auburn on Monday with seven full-time starters from the 2010 recruiting class and eight from 2011.
