Hoskins was a 3-star recruit out of high school according to Rivals.com. He redshirted during his first season at FSU, but he looks to be a valuable member of the linebacker corps for next season. Jimbo Fisher praised Hoskins throughout spring practice as a player that should contribute in 2014. Hoskins spent most of the spring working with the defensive ends foreshadowing his use in the hybrid outside linebacker/edge rusher role.
Ranking: Bradon (32), Ryan (47). Ariya (43)
#39 Chad Mavety
Ht/Wt: 6 feet 6 inches, 320 pounds
2013 season: In junior college
Maverty was a 4-star recruit out of Nassau Community College and the number five junior college prospect in the class of 2014 according to Rivals.com. FSU returns both of the starters at offensive tackle from last year’s team, but Maverty is expected to compete with incumbent starter Bobby Hart for the right tackle position. He is also considered to be the heir apparent to senior Cam Erving at left tackle. Maverty is a big physical player, exactly the characteristics that Rick Trickett wants in his offensive lineman.

2013 season: 13 for 21, 116 yards, 2 TD, 2 int
Maguire started last season third on the quarterback depth chart, but he was bumped up to the back-up role following Jacob Coker’s season ending knee injury. Coker transferred to Alabama after the season and Maguire looks poised to enter the season as the primary back-up to Heisman winner Jameis Winston. Maguire is a strong armed quarterback who played well in limited time last season. Winston went injury free throughout the 2013 season, but Maguire’s role as the number two quarterback makes him one of the most important reserve players on the entire roster for 2014. He may be challenged for the number two spot by incoming freshman J.J. Consentio though.
Ranking: Brandon (37), Ryan (36), Ariya (47)
Year: Redshirt senior
Ht/Wt: 6 feet 2 inches, 207 pounds
2013 season: 13 catches, 157 yards
After spending last season hidden behind Rashad Greene, Kenny Shaw and Kelvin Benjamin, Christian Green entered spring practice with the chance to compete for a starting role. He failed to wow coaches during the spring though, and he may be forced to serve in a reserve role once again next season. He is a big target at 6 feet 2 inches, but his inability to consistently perform limits his impact. The main value Green brings to the team is his experience. He will be a fifth year senior next season and that experience will be important for a receiving corps made up almost entirely of sophomores and freshmen outside of star veteran Rashad Greene.
Ranking: Brandon (48), Ryan (28), Ariya (41)
Year: Redshirt Freshman
Ht/Wt: 6 feet 2 inches, 308 pounds
2013 season: Redshirted
A 4-star recruit coming out of high school, Bryant redshirted during his first season at FSU. He looks poised to be breakout player for the Seminoles in 2014 as the defense looks for a consistent force in the middle of the line. Bryant worked with the first team in four-lineman sets during spring practice and he has the talent to be a key contributor next season. Look for him for compete with Nile Lawrence-Stample for the starting nose tackle position.
Ranking: Brandon (28), Ryan (41), Ariya (45)
