FL Panthers Ready for Trade Deadline
Even though the Florida Panthers may haveno real shot of making the playoffs, general manager Dale Tallon is in the mood to sell as Wednesdays trade deadline approaches.
Were not blowing this thing up, said Tallon, according tothe Miami Herald. If we can sell some assets to get better, well do that. It depends what happens in the next few weeks. Well be aggressive either way.
With pending unrestricted free agents likeTom Gilbert,Brad Boyes, andTim Thomas, there is a lot of interest as the deadline nears. But, it seems Tallon would prefer to re-sign them for next season, if they want to stay.
Tallon has alsoapparentlybeen given permission to spend up to the cap so these three players could be next in line for a nice raise.
