Once again, there are no Florida teams in the top 25. Although Miami (24-7 over Georgia Tech) and Florida State (41-16 over Maryland) got big conference wins, they both are still just 4-3. USF fell to Cincinnati while UCF suffered an embarrassingdefeat against UAB. Florida, who also has three losses, was idle.

Oklahoma's surprising loss to Texas Tech dropped them from 3 to 11, while the Red Raiders moved into the top 25 at 21. USC's win over Notre Dame not only dropped the Irish out of the top 25, but it vaulted the Trojans into the top 25 at 18. Washington, who was leveled by now fourth-ranked Stanford, dropped out of the poll while the Cardinal jumped from 7 to 4. Wisconsin's loss to Michigan State dropped them from 4 to 12. Sparty moved to 8, up from 15 last week. Penn State, Georgia and Cincinnati all moved into the top 25 after losses by Illinois (Purdue), Washington and Notre Dame.
