There were still not votes for any Florida schools in any of the polls. Florida State is probably the only team that even has a claim, scoring 4 points in the AP poll, but they’ve yet to have an impressive win. They defeated North Carolina State 34-0 Saturday. Miami dropped to 4-4 after losing 28-21 to Virginia Thursday. Florida lost their fourth straight game to drop them to 4-4 after falling to Georgia 24-20 Saturday. UCF finally got back in the win column with a 41-0 win over Memphis. South Florida was idle.

The biggest surprise is the amount of ties we have in the polls. Both Wisconsin, who lost a heartbreaker to Ohio State, and USC, who lost in triple overtime to third rank Stanford, are ranked 19. Michigan and Kansas State, who both have just one loss are tied at 14. Michigan blew out Purdue while Kansas State was dominated by Oklahoma. Either Stanford or Oklahoma State are going to jump to 2 after this week, but for now, they’re tied at the 3 spot. Of course, one of those teams will be ranked second because the two teams tied at the top, LSU and Alabama, will face off this weekend. Alabama was jumped in one poll by Oklahoma State after the Cowboys 59-24 win over Baylor. Both Alabama and LSU were idle this weekend.
