Eli Manning Participating In OTA's After Surgery
Eli Manning Practicing After Surgery
When New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning had ankle surgery seven weeks ago, GM Jerry Reese said it would put him ?out of spring ball.? But that didn't happen.
Manning was on the field for Organized Team Activities, and he put in a full day, according to the Giants? website. Per the website, Manning ?took quite a few snaps,? and did individual drills and a lot of reps with the first-team offense. Ryan Nassib, Curtis Painter and Josh Freeman took the backup snaps behind Manning.
The news that Manning is back on the field is good news for the team as they are implementing new offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo?s system.
Manning holds the longest active streak in the NFL for games started has started by a quarterback -- 151 consecutive regular-season games (plus 11 playoff games). This is the thrird third-longest streak in NFL history behind only Brett Favre and his own older brother Peyton Manning.
