The Buffalo Bills are focused on their Draft decision but amidst all the talk and preparations for a new player, current Bills QB E.J. Manuel is making plans of his own.

Last year’s draft brought Manuel to Buffalo to be their starting quarterback and after an inconsistent rookie year, the former Seminole wants to improve himself and become a leader on the team this season.

According to the Toronto Sun, Manuel wants a bigger voice.

“The biggest thing I want to improve on is becoming more of a leader, taking more command of this offense. “That’s a broad statement but I really mean it.”

Pro Football Talk reports that he met with other quarterbacks in the league to get advice. He consulted with Robert Griffin III and Drew Brees, who helped relate and give advice on dealing with injuries.

Manuel went on to say that their main focus is becoming a cohesive unit on the field. He is trying to help his teammates understand what he thinks when they get to the line of scrimmage.

Regardless of the outcome of the Draft for the Bills, Manuel’s newfound leadership on the team will help boost the confidence of the team heading into the season.
