Ducks’ Ryan Getzlaf Is Expected To Play Game 2
The Anaheim Ducks will not have to worry about missing Ryan Getzlaf for any precious playoff time.
In the closing seconds of the Ducks’ 4-3 Game 1 win over the Stars on Wednesday, Getzlaf took a one-time slap shot off the stick of Tyler Seguin right to the face while he doesn’t wear a shield, leaving his face even more exposed.
He went off the ice clutching a towel soaking up his blood, and there was no telling how bad it might have been.
But the good news for the Ducks is that the x-rays were negative, it’s just going to require some stitches.
Ryan Getzlaf suffered a deep facial laceration last night in Game 1 vs. Dallas. He received numerous stitches, and x-rays were negative.
