Dodgers Still In Pursuit Of Guerrero. Don’t Count ‘Em Out
The Dodgers were suggested to be out of the running in one report after a deal reported by MLB.com for $32 million for five years fell through after it was learned that the person or people representing Guerrero was not certified by the players union.
The Dodgers, reported to have had a verbal agreement with a representative of Guerrero a couple weeks ago, were characterized recently as being on the “outskirts” of the recent discussions – but considering their history of snapping up international talent, they can never be counted out.
The Dodgers scored big with two international signings last winter, lefthander Hyun-Jin Ryu from South Korea and Yasiel Puig from Cuba, two Rookie of the Year candidates.
