Fresno State's Derek Carr is a Fantasy owners' friend. Photo Credit: Huskers Illustrated [1]It was a rather disappointing slate of games this past week, with blowouts all over the board. While that isn’t great for your viewing pleasure, it can be somewhat entertaining from a Fantasy perspective. Of course, some of the big-time options were rested early and often, giving way to second- and third-string options. So the week was a dud for some Fantasy owners in that respect, too.

In the upcoming week, a lot of the big programs start their conference schedules, and we’ll start to see some more sensible scores. The crazy stat lines will come down, too. However, occasionally someone will still step out of conference to load up against an inferior opponent. Just watch those upcoming schedules closely.

Fresno State QB Derek Carr rolled up some big-time stats, as he continues to mow down the competition like his older brother David did in the Valley back in the day. Don’t sleep on those smaller school teams if you are allowed to play them.

QUARTERBACK STATISTICS – WEEK 4

NAME/TEAM OPP COM-ATT-YD-TD-INT RUSH-YD-TD NEXT OPP
Derek Carr, Fresno State vs Boise State 39-60-460-4-0 3-8-0 at Hawaii
David Fales, San Jose State at Minnesota 22-35-439-3-2 0-0-0 vs Utah State (FRI)
Tom Savage, Pittsburgh at Duke 23-33-424-6-0 2-(-14)-0 vs Virginia
Aaron Murray, Georgia vs North Texas 22-30-408-3-1 7-37-1 vs LSU
Brett Smith, Wyoming at Air Force 35-41-373-4-0 16-138-1 at Texas State
Sean Mannion, Oregon State at San Diego State 38-55-367-3-0 4-(-23)-0 vs Colorado
Taylor Kelly, Arizona State at Stanford 30-55-367-3-2 6-(-4)-0 vs Southern Cal
Bryce Petty, Baylor vs Louisiana-Monroe 18-27-351-4-0 5-26-1 BYE
Connor Halliday, Washington State vs Idaho 31-43-346-4-2 1-(-8)-0 vs Stanford
Gary Nova, Rutgers vs Arkansas 22-43-346-3-1 9-(-47)-0 BYE
Carr and Fales tore it up last week, but if your Fantasy provider does not allow non-AQ teams, you weren’t able to enjoy their production. … Pitt’s Savage has emerged as a Fantasy beast. The former Rutgers starter toss for six scores in Durham.

RUNNING BACK STATISTICS – WEEK 4

NAME/TEAM OPP RUSH-YD-TD RCPT-YD-TD NEXT OPP
Antonio Andrews, Western Kentucky vs Morgan State 17-213-5 1-1-0 vs Navy

Jordon James, UCLA vs New Mexico State 19-164-2 0-0-0 BYE
Ezekiel Elliott, Ohio State vs Florida A&M 14-162-2 0-0-0 vs Wisconsin
There were some big-time Fantasy stat lines from some unlikely sources. Even the big-time teams like Ohio State had an unlikely source of stats, as newcomer Ezekiel Elliott crashed the party by thrashing Florida A&M. Some of the big horses got long rests in laughers.

RECEIVER STATISTICS – WEEK 4

NAME/TEAM OPP RCPT-YD-TD RUSH-YD-TD NEXT OPP

Gabe Marks, Washington State vs Idaho 11-146-2 0-0-0 vs Stanford
Deontay Greenberry, Houston at Rice 6-146-1 0-0-0 at Texas-San Antonio
It was an upside-down week, as some obscure Fantasy options rose to the top of the stats list this week. Sure, we’re seen Deontay Greenberry here before, but how about that Pittsburgh duo at Duke this past weekend? Willie Snead is also a regular.
