Toronto Raptors DeMar DeRozan is playing in his first NBA All-Star game Sunday night.
“I’m excited to be here, just enjoying everything as it happens,” DeRozan said.
The Raptors guard/forward is averaging 22.4 points and 4.6 rebounds per game this season while helping his team to a (28-24) record and third place in the Eastern Conference.
DeRozan will be rooting for teammate Terrence Ross in the Slam Dunk contest tonight, and had some input on the greatest to ever do it.
“Vince Carter is the greatest, what he did in 2001 was crazy,” DeRozan said.
Toronto is one of the NBA’s surprise teams this year, a lot of that is predicated on the play of DeRozan.
“We are playing good basketball right now and I’m ready for the second half of the season, DeRozan said.
