Daniel Cleary To Sign With Red Wings

Red_Wings_Daniel_Cleary_2013Daniel Cleary boarded a plane this morning for Traverse City after reaching an agreement on a one-year $1.75-million contract to return to the Detroit Red Wings.

Cleary told the Free Press around 10:15 a.m. that “I’m back. Signing deal tonight.”

So ended a furious few days that saw Cleary agree Monday night to to go Philadelphia on a professional tryout with a deal in place for three years and $8.25 million have second thoughts Tuesday and drive up to Traverse City on Wednesday to meet with Wings general manager Ken Holland and coach Mike Babcock.
