Cowboys Jay Ratliff Arrested On DWI Charge
Dallas Cowboys nose tackle Jay Ratliff was arrested early Tuesday on a charge of driving while intoxicated, weeks after a car crash left one of his teammates dead and another facing an intoxication manslaughter charge.
Ratliff was arrested after he crashed into a tractor trailer in Grapevine about 12:30 a.m., police said.
Ratliff was driving west on State Highway 114 near Park Boulevard when his Ford F150 pickup hit a tractor trailer. He then hit a highway barrier.
No one was injured in the crash, Grapevine police Senior Officer Sam Shemwell said.
Ratliff, 31, was released from the Grapevine jail after posting $500 bond Tuesday morning, police said.
The Cowboys declined to comment. His agent could not be reached for comment Tuesday night.
