The 9th ranked Florida State Seminoles are still fighting for an at-large bid and today they face No. 8 Maryland at 12:00 p.m.

If the Seminoles lose, it allows Maryland to continue playing the role of the “spoiler.” The Terps (17-14) have been playing well and they’ve beaten Virginia Tech and Virginia. They have had close losses to other, strong ACC contenders like Clemson, Duke, Syracuse and Virginia.
Maryland also knocked off Florida State the past two times they played each other in February. The Seminoles need all the wins they can get at this point. They had won three consecutive games before a suffering from a double-digit loss to Syracuse.
For Florida State, Okaro White has been the leader. He has been quite explosive over the past four games, averaging 21 points while staying out of foul trouble (two per game) and still rebounding.
Both Terps’ forward Charles Mitchell and center Shaq Cleare have played better defense lately, but the Terps may not be able to handle an athletic forward like White.
Because of the Seminoles’ inconsistency, it’s hard to predict what they will do today. If they don’t play well, the Terps will take the win and run with it.
