Conflict Rearises In Rays Loss To Red Sox
Rays Lose For Second Straight Game Via Walk-Off
The Rays lost for the second straight night 3-2 via walk-off tonight against the Red Sox at Fenway Park.
Andrew Miller (2-4) picks up the win and Juan Oviedo (1-2) picks up the loss in relief.
The Rays move to 23-32 and now have the worst record in the American League.
David Price got the start and went 7 innings and allowed 2 earned runs on 6 hits and 1 walk and struck out 6 batters.
The story early on in the game, however, wasn’t the pitching or the offense but the conflict from last week being renewed. It started in the first inning with this pitch from Price:
The benches then cleared in the bottom of the fourth inning after this delivering from Price:

All in all, the Red Sox had four different coaches manage the game.
Other than all the conflict, it was a pretty quiet game offensively for both teams. A.J Pierzyski was the star of the game, as he was just one of four hitters between both the Rays and the Red Sox to have a multi-hit game.
Pierzyski doubled in the 7th inning off Price and, of course, won the game for the Red Sox in the 10th:
The Rays send Jake Odorizzi (2-4, 4.56) to the hill in Game 2 tomorrow night against Ruby De La Rosa and the Red Sox.Conflict Rearises In Rays Loss To Red Sox by Matt Stein
